The maiden edition of the Ghana Celebrity Impact Awards has been launched, with nominations now opened. The award scheme, announced during a press unveiling on Thursday, 5th September 2024 at Silverbird Cinemas, Accra Mall, seeks to celebrate and appreciate celebrities and brands making an impact on societal issues through their influence and resources.

The organizers, who spoke at the launch, pointed out that celebrities and brands play very crucial roles in bringing about societal change. They, therefore, considered the Ghana Celebrity Impact Awards as one avenue to inculcate a culture of responsibility and community involvement through rewarding those who genuinely contribute towards charitable causes and community development.

Other details that were made known in the press meet include the award schedule, with nominations set to run from 5th September to 5th October 2024.

The dates for the awards have been set in stages for the display of different works and successes of applicants. As it is expected, influential personalities from various sides of entertainment, business, and philanthropy will be brought together in one event.

The main event is scheduled for Saturday 24th May 2025.
